We are proud to provide quality continuing education (CEU) programs for mental health professionals including licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, social workers, and psychologists in the state of Texas. Our seminars are designed to provide the licensed healthcare professional with the opportunity for professional growth and refinement. We offer the opportunity for the behavioral health or chemical dependency practitioner to earn the Continuing Education Units (CEU) hours needed to maintain licensure.

Please check with your state regulatory board if you are unsure about CEU Credit. We are pre-approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors (LPC) and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Social Workers to provide CEU credit. SEMINAR for COUNSELOR SUPERVISION:
This intensive, two weekend-long course is designed to meet the requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor in the state of Texas. Courses offered:
Summer 2008
Weekend 1
Friday, July 11 - 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday, July 12 - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, July 13 - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Weekend 2
Friday, July 25 - 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday, July 26 - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, July 27- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Fall 2008
Weekend 1

Cost:
Applicants must attend both weekends of the same session to receive 40 CEU hours and the Supervisor Certification. The cost of $550 includes both weekends.
$550 for LPC Supervisor Training
$550 for LMFT Supervisor Training
Fee for the entire course (includes both weekends) must be paid before the first class day. Cancellations before the first class will result in forfeiture of ½ of the course fee. There will be no refunds after the start of the first class day. All courses will be taught at the achievebalance.org facilities in The Woodlands, Texas.
This informative, enjoyable, three-hour course is designed to meet the requirements for LPCs, LMFTs and Social Workers in the state of Texas. Psychologists, please check with your licensing board. Courses will be held in the achievebalance.org offices located on beautiful Market Street in The Woodlands, Texas. Dates and times for 2008 are:
July 18 - 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
August 8 - 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
September 26 - 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
October 24 - 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Cost for each Ethics course is $50 per participant and must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. Cancellations before the course meets will result in forfeiture of ½ of the course fee.
Operating a private practice can be isolating. Professional consultation groups are a way to not only connect the private practitioner with his or her peers, it allows for consultation on difficult cases. Achievebalance.org is offering a monthly PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION GROUP in their beautiful offices in Market Street in The Woodlands. This group will be facilitated by Dr. Walker and Dr. DeTrude and attendees are requested to bring one case to each meeting for peer discussion. The cost for attending is $50 per meeting.
